Due to the expected impact of Tropical Storm Idalia, Alachua County Public Schools and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30. Only essential personnel will be expected to report to work. A decision on when schools will reopen will be announced after the storm has passed and we know schools and travel routes are safe.
